Job description
We are excited to be able to offer a Generic Trading Standards Officer post within Public Protection at North Lincolnshire Council.
North Lincolnshire has established itself as a great place to live, work, invest and visit. Our rural setting, with picturesque villages with routes for cycling and walking also acts as a global gateway for international business, with excellent links by road, rail, bus, sea and air. This fantastic combination, alongside our historic market towns, excellent educational establishments and close proximity to major cities such as Hull, Lincoln and York, makes North Lincolnshire a place that is valued by those who choose to live and work here.

We are seeking applicants with an interest in working within a busy Trading Standards Team. The post would provide an excellent opportunity for someone with experience of working within the area of Trading Standards.
The post is that of a Generic Trading Standards Officer. As such it is expected the applicant will work across all areas of Trading Standards work from time to time. As such no specific specialism is required only for the applicant to be suitably qualified to act as a Trading Standards Officer. However, we would welcome applications from Officers with Feed knowledge and experience, but this is not essential.
Applicants must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated and able to progress work with minimal supervision. Candidates should be methodical and well organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
It is essential that applicants hold a full driving licence and can provide a car or other means of transport to undertake this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of North Lincolnshire's residents and meet the council's outcomes of being safe and well. We are a progressive employer with flexible and agile working arrangements.
