Registered Medical Practitioner – Functional Assessor
Starting Salary: £72,000with Hybrid Working Available

We are recruiting for an experienced General Practitioner for an exciting NEW opportunity to become a Functional Assessor. We need your expertise and clinical knowledge to help carry out a government funded benefit called the Employment Allowance Service (ESA), your role will be to complete extensive assessments and examinations on individuals who are suffering and living with a range of long-term disabilities or illnesses.
A typical day in the life of a Functional Assessor, will be exciting and challenging something new and fresh to indulge into, you will be part of a team of professionals to assess how the person in questions disability or illness may be impacting their daily life. A detailed report will need to be written up, from the evidence gathered these will then be submitted to the Department of Disability and Pensions (DWP), they are the soul deciders of who will receive the ESA benefit your role will be to help provide the efficient evidence for this.
This position is permanent with full-time and part-time positions available, the standard working hours are 9:00-5:00pm this is not including bank holidays or weekends you will not be working those. There is an option to be a Hybrid assessor meaning you would do 3 Days onsite and 2 days from home per week. Training would need to be completed on site first for the first 6 months.
Role Overview:
- Starting salary: £72,000 Per Annum
- Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (37.5hrs)
- Office-based/Home-based assessments (no community/home visits required)
