Basic guaranteed starting salary of PS26,000 per annum, plus a weekly bonus!

Hands on role shot blasting, fully preparing metal components. Operate and maintain all non-CNC machines, including reaming, assembly including prebuild and any other reasonable request.*

The Role in More Detail:*

  • Be able to follow processes and detail any non-conformance.
  • Be able to use gauges and measuring equipment for inspection purposes.
  • Experience of using Jigs and assembly fixtures to manufacture high quality repetitive components.
  • Maintain a clean environment within the department;
  • Use correct/defined consumables for preparation & sanding of metal & polymer components before paint / powder application.
  • Booking on/off jobs, filling out timesheets, quality check sheets.
  • Identifying material surface defects on parts prior paint / powder and repairing using adequate products.
  • Masking, final paint / powder preparation, handling parts on and off paint / powder runways. Moving of chassis parts in and out of paint / powder booths / ovens.
  • Maintain a high standard of 5's workplace organisation. Continuous improvement / elimination of waste, through 'Lean Manufacturing techniques / tools.

Previous Experience:*

  • Preparation of unpainted parts would be beneficial.
  • Ability to read and execute SOP'S to a high standard.
  • An appreciation of the Health & Safety hazards within a paint shop, specifically Isocyanates & flammable liquids.
  • Experienced in using & maintaining air fed respiratory equipment. (Beneficial)
  • Experience of operating within a lean manufacturing/continuous improvement team environment.
  • Shot blasting experience (beneficial)
  • Welding knowledge would be an added advantage, but not essential.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate at all levels in English.

Working Hours & Salary:*

Working hours will be 37.5 basic hours per week, on the following rotating shift pattern:*

Early *shift hours will be 6.00am - 2.00pm Monday - Thursday, and 6.00am - 11.30am on Fridays.
Late shift hours will be 2.00pm - 10.00pm Monday - Thursday, and 11.30am - 5.00pm on Fridays.

Guaranteed basic starting salary PS11.66 per hour x 37.5 hours per week PLUS a shift premium of 15% of your basic hourly rate.

PLUS* a monthly bonus which on average equates to an additional PS375 - PS450 per month. This bonus is guaranteed at a minimum of PS50 per week.
