Job description

Kier highway Solutions are currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our highway maintenance team based in Norfolk/Suffolk. Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment, as well as assisting with the maintenance and repair of highways and roads.


Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and traffic management procedures.

  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Assisting the drivers with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment as needed.

  • Assisting with the safe and efficient operation of excavators and other heavy equipment

  • Recording and reporting any incidents or accidents on site.


Who are we looking for?

This role of a General Operatives is great for you if you have:

  • Experience working in a similar role, such as a construction or labouring role.

  • CSCS card

  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Full Driving Licence
