Job description
We are seeking a General Manager to join our team.
We are looking for a leader who is hands-on, fully engaged and will provide a rewarding environment for our employees and our guests. Must have 5 years management experience in hospitality industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Maximise room revenue by anticipating and planning for market shifts and develop and monitor strategic marketing and sales initiatives
- Oversee all aspects of guest service to ensure superior guest satisfaction
- Ensure quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as it relate to appearance, maintenance and cleanliness
- Develop and maintain rapport with key area contacts to ensure a visible presence in the local community
- Maintain Team Member motivation, training and development and compliance with policies, procedures and labour regulations
- Communicate and promote health and safety in the workplace
Qualifications:
- Must have Opera experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a GM position within a branded hotel
- Must have good communication skills
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations including front office / guest service operations, room sales and marketing, housekeeping and maintenance
- Intermediate level computer skills – Visual Matrix knowledge is an asset
- Diploma or degree in hospitality is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
