Cyprofood is a North London based wholesaler that has been operating as a leading fresh produce wholesaler since 2007. Our aim is to deliver high-quality products at competitive prices whilst providing excellent customer service for a comfortable shopping experience.
We are a 24-hour operation which makes us flexible for customers and suppliers. One of our main priorities is the quality of the products we import and we keep this in good control with our quality control measures in place.
We do this by proceeding with a quality check on arrival to ensure all products meet our standards. We repeat this process when the goods also leave our warehouse to our customers and do regular checks on our premises on a daily basis. We serve to all retailers, cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, and caterers.
Duties will include;
- As General Manager and operating as part of the senior leadership team, you will report directly to the Commercial Director.
- You will provide the leadership for a 7 / 24 running wholesale operation and plan / coordinate and manage all operations including warehouse, transport, purchasing, finance, and sales to meet all targets.
- You will be responsible for Cyprofood`s financial performance, driving sales, managing costs, and meeting the board's vision and expectations.
- You will drive a culture of continuous improvement and change across the teams in order to achieve and exceed all KPIs, targets and objectives for achievement of Cyprofood’s strategic aims.
- You will understand the competitor activity in the sector and utilise information to drive competitive advantage, win new customers and grow sales and profit
- You will maintain and develop the existing customer base and partners through a consultative and strategic approach to establish long-term relationships and partnership opportunities in accordance with the business plan
- You will ensure the effective day-to-day running of the warehouse and meet operation standards, customer requirements, safety, and environmental standards
- You will review performance with respect to forecasts, margins, costings and expenditure with full accountability for P&Ls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education or equivalent experience.
- You must have experience of working as a manager in Cash&Carry or Wholesaler
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in Food and Beverage sector
- Financial acumen broadly across the organization (e.g., managing a P&L, understanding of financial documents, etc.)
- Creative, analytic and strategic thinking skills with problem-solver attitude.
- Ability to develop productive relationships with all members of the senior management team, customers, vendors, etc.
- Ability to structure, analyse, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals
- A highly organized project manager, excel at leading cross-departmental collaborations, and use a data-driven approach to analyze and refine strategies.
- Excellent Leadership, communication, organizational, and representational skills
- Excellent analytical and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving
- Ability and willingness to create change, passion for continuous improvement
- Proficiency, both written and verbal, in English
