IPL Wolverhampton formerly known as Plastic Bottle Supplies, is an industry manufacturing specialist of HDPE Plastic Bottles with a 20 plus year history of servicing many successful businesses within the UK. IPL Wolverhampton manufactures fully recyclable products with post-consumer recycled options available.
Position Title: General Manager
Location: Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, UK
What you will bring to the role:
- Manage all functions within the site P&L with a revenue of @ $50m & @ 200 employees - operating within a Global corporate environment - including strategy, operations, HR, finance, sales, capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, audit performance and expense management and support key Division planning.
- Develop actionable business strategies and plans for the site that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
- Translate strategy into a clear set of strategic priorities and plans. Cascade goals and metrics and drive a results focus and a culture of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor performance within the site and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting
- Provide regular, consistent and transparent communication and interaction with the VP Ops ERIS UK and other senior leaders and ELT as required regarding business activities, potential threats, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Inspire as a leader and unifying force for employees; cultivate an inclusive environment where people are fully valued, supported and challenged to grow in a safe working environment – to drive attraction, retention and engagement. Provide management to staff and leadership to the organisation that aligns with the IPL’s business plan and overall strategic vision
- Support divisional ad hoc projects as required
- Establishes and implements strategies that have long-term (3+ years) impact on business results in alignment with global organisation objectives
The successful candidate :
- A results-oriented leader with a Continuous Improvement mindset who drives accountability, execution and instils an ownership mentality and a sense of urgency across the site.
- A strategic thinker who is comfortable and effective working both at a strategic and a tactical level, with a demonstrated ability to “roll up his/her sleeves” and remain close to the sales and operations.
- Site General Management experience with a bias towards Operations but must also be Commercially astute
