A fantastic job opportunity has arisen at West Country Water Buffalo. We are seeking to find person to join our family run farm. The job role is to include but not limited to general farm yard duties (milking , feeding calves and general Tractor work) on a rota basis. Working as part of a friendly family team.
Our water buffalo business is continuing to expand, which includes our retail/wholesale business and cheese production.
The ideal candidate will need to have a keen interest in livestock and a passion for milking to a high standard of cleanliness . Work will include morning milking on a rota basic and/or then helping with yard work , PD and vet visits . It would be beneficial for the candidate to have some education in agriculture, but also able to manage data and important record keeping. Training will be provided if required, in specific key areas of our business. The candidate needs to work as part of a team and also independently, able to drive a car. The position is based on a fixed salary 5 day week (07.30-17.00) with additional 2 days every other weekend, as part of a one weekend on, one weekend off rota. This is role would suit someone who is looking to gain more farm work experience.
Pay will depend on experience and training. Accommodation is not available at the moment
