Purpose of job
Our dedicated team of general assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process and the success of our business. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
As an assembler, you must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. A top-notch assembler should have the ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions, as well as diagrams and other technical documents, and be a team player.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Using tools to make or repair parts and products.
- Interpreting technical documents, such as diagrams, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Working with other members of the line or team in order to assemble products.
- Keeping a clean and tidy workspace.
- Meeting all safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Identifying any defective items and handling them according to established procedures.
- Using reason to solve problems as they arise.
Other
- Undertake all duties in accordance with ETI Ltd policies.
- Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be allocated to the post holder, which may involve providing assistance in other departments as required.
- Attend all training when required to do so in order to adhere to mandatory regulations, legislation and best practice
- Undertake any duties regarding health, safety and welfare at work, and business continuity which may reasonably be allocated to the post holder because of legislation, codes of practice or Company policies.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Accurate attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colours.
Desirable
- Skilled in manufacturing / mechanics is desirable.
