We are looking for a Global Traded Risk Analyst to join the team that will act as a point of contact for senior stakeholders and wider teams with a focus on building out a framework for Climate Stress Testing. This will include, reviewing Management Information reports for Senior Management, Front Office and Relationship Managers. The successful candidate will assist in providing day-to-day credit risk measurement, reporting and analysis for WMR management and ensure internal controls are in line with internal and external regulations.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Global Traded Risk Control Analyst.
In this role, you will:
- Be actively involved in the global and regional implementation of strategic and tactical systems, processes and reporting on behalf of TCRC;
- Manage MI to assist in the identification and management of adverse risk trends or concentrations within portfolio;
- Liaise closely with IT and stakeholders within stress testing in order to effectively build out the framework for climate stress testing;
- Ensure that credit risk policies and methodologies are properly communicated to and implemented within Global Markets;
- Assist in streamlining traded counterparty risk processes between HSBC’s hubs across London, Hong Kong, New York and Paris;
- Effectively engage with senior stakeholders and wider teams to resolve queries around issues that arise around trial runs and data completeness.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold experience in Market risk or credit counterparty risk with knowledge in stress testing;
- Thorough knowledge of credit risk concepts and systems as well as having broad knowledge of asset classes, rates, foreign exchange, equities and credit products, and their implications in terms of counterparty and portfolio risk;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to work to tight deadlines in challenging and demanding environment;
- Capacity to develop tools/MI with VBA/VB languages (mainly Access & Excel) preferable but not essential.
- Python skills is essential.
The base location for this role is London and is a hybrid position.
