Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club) is the world’s most active cricket club, custodian of the Laws of Cricket and is also the owner of Lord’s Ground, affectionately known as the “Home of Cricket”. The MCC and Lord’s brands are renowned worldwide and are synonymous with excellence, prestige and providing an enjoyable customer experience, whether at an international cricket match with 31,000 spectators, or for Sunday Afternoon Tea
in the Long Room.
We are recruiting for a highly motivated individual to join our Gate Staff Security team to ensure that Lord’s Cricket Ground, which features the Pavilion - one of the most famous buildings in world cricket, maintains the highest of standards across the pillars of service, safety and security. You will deliver high levels of customer service commensurate with making Lord’s the world’s greatest cricket ground.
The wide variety of fixtures and functions that take place within the Ground, including around 60+ days of cricket each season, which means that you will interact regularly with Members, guests and visitors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Interested candidates should have gained previous experience in the security industry with outstanding customer service experience in any business, not necessarily in sport and stewarding.
- This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent face-to-face customer service, verbal and written communication skills. MCC is looking to recruit someone who is keen on helping enhance the experience for all visitors to one of the most famous venues in world sport.
- The successful applicant will be required to work five shifts of eight hours, with one hour of unpaid lunch on each day worked. The shifts will be rostered over seven days between 07:00hrs and 20:00hrs. This job entails regular weekend work throughout the year.
