Our seven hotels are unique (quirky even) and set in three stunning Scottish locations. Some are big, some are small but all offer good food drink, great beds and a ton of things to do. Peebles Hydro We’re set right at the heart of the Scottish Borders and offer a great place to relax, unwind and magically shut off from the pressures of modern life. We’ve been welcoming guests for well over 100 years but today is home to 132 bedrooms, 3 places to eat, 6 function spaces, leisure club, spa and oodles of outdoor space. About the role You'll be responsible for keeping our gardens and lawns looking beautiful for our guests and also for photographs for our Bride Grooms. We have over 9 acres around the resort. This includes our Botanical Garden which we use for our gin distilling. We also have chickens, an off road Segway track and soon mini landrovers. There is a playpark, archery, air rifle and putting areas and these are to be maintained as well as the boundaries within the estate. It's a varied role so no two days will be the same. What we need from you: As you'll be driving tractors and other vehicles around the estate, you'll need a driving licence. (No tractors but driving licence preferable) You'll have a chainsaw license and a spraying licence (pa1/pa2 pa6) would also be desirable Previous experience of using strimmer’s, hedge cutters, mowers and of gardening/fencing. You'll take pride in your work and yourself. Ability to develop further skills and willing to attend further training courses. Ability to plan and organise work schedule.
