Marpaul Support Services, are extremely excited to be growing the team and are looking for experienced Gardeners on a full time basis to work mainly at The Gardens, Yalding. There may also be the requirement to travel to other client sites to maintain grounds, both residential and commercial.The role will be 40 hours per week, worked 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Sundays). Weekends will be rostered on average, across a two to three week cycle, although as the team grows this could be a four to five week cycle.Successful applicants would have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position. Have passion and good knowledge of horticulture, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to work both independently, and collaboratively with a confident, pleasant demeanour. Flexible approach to the demands of the role.Main will duties include:maintaining high levels of presentation at all timesdigging, planting and weeding flower beds and borderspruning shrubberychecking the health of plants, identifying any pests or diseases and controlling themapplying nutrients to plants and turf to keep in top conditionusing machinery such as lawn mowers, rotovators and hedge trimmerscleaning and maintaining tools and equipmentbasic building tasks, such as putting up sheds and fencesExperience of turf management, a BTEC First Certificate / NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture, PA1 & PA6 spraying and CS30 & 31 chainsaw certificates or equivalent would be desirable but not essential.Due to the rural location and restricted public transport links, a full UK driving licence and own transport is essential for travel to and from The Gardens.Applicants for the post should submit a CV with a covering letter.Please note that unfortunately, we are not able to respond to everyone due to the volume of applications that we received.
