Role Overview
To prepare for the busy season ahead, Coleman’s are now recruiting Garden Centre Team Members with previous retail experience. We are looking for people who will provide high-class customer service and who want a long-term career in the garden centre. The role provides career opportunities and a great work environment. We have part time positions available, 24 – 32 hours per week including weekends.
The operation runs 7 days a week and therefore it is a core requirement to be able to work flexibly including working weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Occasional evening working.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Using the EPOS till system and money handling
- Working indoor and outdoor in all weathers to help with stocking products
- Transport goods around the garden centre from storeroom and storage areas to retail spaces around the site.
- Work at speed together with attention to detail, under health and safety requirements when moving heavy objects.
- Site maintenance
Essential Requirements:
- Previous retail experience, 1 year minimum experience
- Good communication skills
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Have the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work as and when required, minimum 16 hours per week.
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience with forklift driving operation.
- Horticultural knowledge
- Experience of safely working in heavy lifting environments
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-32 per week
Salary: £5.31-£10.00 per hour
