Contract Type: Permeant

Hours: 30 hour per week

Salary: £15.00 per hour (Equivalent to £23,400 per annum) Overtime at standard rate upon agreement with managers.

Reporting to: General Manager

Purpose of Role

We are currently recruiting for a multiskilled Games and Building Technician to be split over two venues, Breakin’ Escape and AIM Escape Rooms. To be the lead person in charge of all issues that arise with any of the puzzles and rooms and to oversee the maintenance of the rooms and that of the buildings.

Responsibilities - Games

  • Maintenance and upkeep of the puzzles and rooms
  • Sourcing, replacing and fixing props and furniture.
  • Working with staff on the reporting processes for issues
  • Assisting with risk assessments and method statements
  • Being the go-to person for last minute / immediate repairs during game play
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and spares for the puzzles and sourcing and ordering when required

Responsibilities - Building

  • General maintenance of buildings including lamp rounds, basic plumbing and small construction projects when needed.
  • Maintaining the inventory of building supplies and tools as required
  • Along with the General Managers, to ensure service visits from contractors and suppliers are carried out as and when required.
  • Assisting the General Managers with risk assessments and method statements

This role is expanding, and this job description gives the basic responsibilities and others will be added upon consultation and agreement with the successful candidate.
