Overview
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Game Programmer to join our indie game development team in Brighton. You will be part of a small, but talented team of game developers who are committed to creating innovative, high-quality games using Unity and C#. This is a full-time position with a salary of £30,000.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program games in Unity using C#
- Collaborate with an experienced team of game developers to complete game projects
- Utilise problem solving skills to debug and test the game for efficient performance
- Design and implement game features, content, and systems based on game design documents
- Develop tools and scripts to streamline game development processes and workflows
- Monitor and optimise games after launch to ensure a high-quality user experience
- Stay up to date with the latest game development technologies and industry trends
- Research and identify new features and technologies that can be incorporated into the game
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of C# and Unity
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- A qualification in Computer Science or related field
- At least 2 years of game programming experience
- Proficiency in game design and development tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of game design principles and game mechanics
- Knowledge of game engines and development frameworks
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and methods
Job details
- 5 day work week, Mon-Fri 10am-6pm
- On site working at our Brighton Marina office
