About the Position
Responsibilities:
- Plan and design content models through various methods, including wireframe, low-fidelity prototypes, sitemaps, etc.
- Organize and architect digital content while keeping multi-channel and multi-device extensibility and SEO best practices in mind
- Make strategic UX content design decisions related to enhancing core web components and creating new component features to expand digital experiences
- Assist in the planning, optimizing, and facilitating the use of a library of standard web components
- Clearly communicate the rationale behind user experience/content architecture decisions and their business value to digital team stakeholders
- Prepare metadata strategies, develop content matrix/mapping documentation, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to establish content governance models
- Analyze analytics and other research provided to support UX efforts
- Derive taxonomy from UX solutions and information architecture from site maps
- Deliver creative, strategic, detailed solutions that sit at the user-centered intersection of design, content, business, and engineering
- Relevant higher education degree, or 3+ years experience creating interfaces, large-scale digital experiences, or applications
- Experience in an agency setting
- English fluency
- Excellence at designing a brand experience across multiple channels, including web, mobile, and native applications – experiential, physical, and voice are a plus
- Experience working with content and information architecture within a variety of industries, including retail, financial, travel, and healthcare
- Direct client interaction experience with the ability to build relationships, understand client vision/direction, and present designs and concepts
- Strong experience using various prototyping tools to help understand the problem, test concepts, and communicate experiences to internal teams and clients
- Full understanding of how to identify the true needs of users through various methods
- Comfort taking risks in content design, pushing past the obvious and making something you love
- Ability to demonstrate ideas and concepts using flow diagrams, sketches, wireframes, and mid-fidelity prototypes
- Experience collaborating with design and development teams to ensure the desired user experience is in the final product
- Stayed, and will continue to stay, up-to-date on trends, new advances, and new platforms in the digital product space
- Comfort diagramming and workshopping, including remotely
- A desire to contribute to making our company a great place to work
- Experience working on large-scale redesigns or e-commerce
- Experience designing for a variety of industries, including retail, financial, travel, healthcare, etc.
- Knowledge of service design, design systems, and agile methodologies
- Experience with web content management systems, like Drupal
