Job description
The Colas Rail Graduate Schemes are two-year fast track training programmes, which will jump start your career and begin to provide you with the all the technical and managerial skills that you will need to realise your potential. We are currently looking for a graduate to join us as an Assistant Project Manager within our Rail Services division. The successful candidate will be working on process improvement projects and bid management. Working within this role will give the opportunity to work on exciting, multi million pound bids and the chance to gain exposure across many different areas of our business including safety, finance and operations. As a management graduate with Colas Rail, you will be enrolled in a two-year management graduate programme which has a distinct focus on the operational and project management side of our business. You can expect to be working closely with our operational teams and senior management on improving the UK rail systems. Throughout your programme we will support you via bespoke training and development, giving you the opportunity to continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge and the chance to achieve Chartered status.
It is very important to us that you only think of your 2 year graduate scheme as the very start of your journey with Colas Rail because this is going to be just the beginning of an exciting, challenging and very rewarding career.
Person requirements
We're looking for bright, enthusiastic and determined people who can work both independently and in a team. For all our Graduate Programmes we are looking for at least a 2:2 degree from University, and the ability to stand out, by internships, university successes or extracurricular activities. We are also looking for graduates who share our ethics and behaviours, but are not afraid to look at ways in which we can continuously improve.

Qualification and experience requirements:
For management graduates, we are looking for a minimum of:
- 2:2 degree
- A strong desire to pursue development in the railway industry.
- Full Driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
