Job description
We are looking for a hardworking and committed individual to join our Soft Seating Department to assist with Upholstery preparation.
The job may be physically demanding, involving lifting and carrying furniture.
The main role and responsibilities will include:
- Preparing frames for upholstery
- Gluing foam to furniture frames
- Inspecting furniture frames, springs and webbing to locate defects
- Experience in using hand tools, power tools, glue and staples
- Reading work orders, and apply knowledge and experience to the job at hand.
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and equipment
The successful candidate must have the following skills and attributes:
- Good attention to detail
- Patience, perseverance & time management
- Safety-awareness; following all H&S procedures
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with and without supervision
Our current working pattern is a 9-hour day, Monday to Thursday (36-hour week)
