Job description

As our Fundraising Coordinator you will lead on planning, delivery, and evaluation of the fundraising plan.


With your experience, you will contribute to the successful planning, delivery, and evaluation of Carers Support West Sussex Fundraising activities. The fundraising activities will target sources such as charitable trusts and foundations, new areas such as corporate fundraising, sponsorship, crowdfunding and individual giving and any grant funding new to Carers Support West Sussex.


The Fundraising Coordinator will support the Charity Leadership team new income generation opportunities.

ABOUT YOU


Acting as our Fundraising coordinator you will ensure that the vision for the Charity and our work with carers is reflected in all its programmes and services. You’ll commit to our values and in particular putting carers at the heart of everything we do.


You will collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and carers to build excellent relationships to ensure our success. You will be experienced in managing your own projects and workload and produce reports and materials as required.

  • Ability to use initiative and ‘think outside the box’ to help develop and deliver new income.
  • Meticulous approach to planning and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A willingness to learn and to embrace innovative channels and ways of working
  • Able to work autonomously when required
  • Highly competent in use of IT and experience of using a database or CRM system and a willingness to develop further

Have experience of working in a Carers Charity or other related Third or Public Sector.

KEY DUTIES

  • Work with the Operational Team to build a library of potential projects for grant funding.
  • Collate information and statistics to build compelling cases for funding of our projects.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure that applications are financially sound.
  • Make applications for funding from trusts and foundations and produce regular reports on any projects funded as a result, if required.
  • Write fundraising letters and emails to potential funders.
  • Send thank you letters / emails to funders.
  • Help generate new sources of income and manage existing relationships and programmes eg. Through community fundraising.
  • Help produce insightful, high-quality research on current and prospective donors from trusted sources and build a list of potential funders and their priorities
  • Manage funding pipeline to monitor progress against grant applications – reporting on this pipeline monthly.
