St Nicholas Hospice Care is a local charity, which strives for something better in the provision of high quality, specialist palliative care, emotional and practical support, so that no one in West Suffolk and Thetford has to face dying, death and grief alone.It is a very exciting time to join the Fundraising team. As we look to launch a new ambitious 3-year income generation strategy in our 40th year, there is the opportunity to make an incredible difference to local patients and their loved ones and to help secure the future of the hospice for the next 40 years and beyond.About the RoleAs part of the Supporter Care team, the Supporter Care Assistant is responsible for driving and delivering an outstanding supporter experience, which holds our supporters at the heart of everything we do.You will be the first point of call, for all supporters either by email, phone or in person, and will seek to build meaningful relationships to ensure that everyone feels valued, informed and passionate about the Hospice. You will make sure they fully understand the incredible difference they make to the lives of local patients and their loved ones, to help increase their levels of engagement.Whether you are handling donations, maintaining a high-quality database, responding to various supporter enquiries and fulfilling their requests, or providing supportive administrative services to the department, the delivery of outstanding customer service to our supporters will be your focus.Working closely with the Fundraising & Finance Teams, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate database records and carrying out daily administrative tasks that are essential to our fundraising stewardship.Who you areYou are a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering amazing supporter/ customer experiences. You are a great communicator and be a real people person.
