Job Title: Corporate and Community Fundraising Officer
Responsible to: Head of Income Generation
Hours: 37.5 hours
Pay Scale: £11.03 per hour, experience depending
Contract: Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team and play a central role in this growing Dorset based charity. Our vision is to ensure Dorset is a community where living with and talking about Mental Health becomes acceptable for everyone. This role offers the chance to make a significant difference to local people and to improve mental health provision in Dorset.
Working closely with the Head of Income Generation, CEO, Trustees, Head of Partnerships and other departments, you will demonstrate excellent stewardship along with evidenced experience to support the fundraising team to maximise income generation for Dorset Mind through corporate partnerships, flagship events organisation and community-based fundraising.
This is a particularly pivotal time to be joining Dorset Mind as the Board has recently approved a new strategic plan, including development of reach and partnership targets, unrestricted funding approaches and new opportunities to build flagship events within Dorset. You will be a self-starter with high motivation who can build on our existing partnerships, increase income and efficiencies for our fundraising events and support our community volunteer development to raise important funds for Dorset Mind.
Main Purpose
We are seeking someone exceptional who can:
- Develop and implement a strategy for corporate fundraising with the Head of Income Generation, achieving agreed targets and plans
- Manage the relationship with a portfolio of existing corporate partners, motivating and stewarding supporters to maximise the funds they raise
- Generate and manage a strong prospect pipeline, identifying local businesses and securing their long-term support, with a clear commercial focus
- Develop a new programme of events and community fundraising activities
- Develop and maintain excellent stewardship, that builds fundraiser loyalty and helps Dorset Mind develop a community of supporters
- Lead the marketing of our community and events programme, communicating with existing supporters
- Develop innovative approaches to acquiring new supporters
