The Human Resources Professional Development Program (HRPDP) is designed strengthen the Human Resources talent pipeline by hiring high potentials and accelerating their foundational learning of HR and of Caterpillar through a rotational program focused on providing diverse on-the-job experiences preparing them to become future Caterpillar leaders.
Through this program, you will have the opportunity to explore various areas of the business with intentional HR assignments which generally include a production-based client group, HR partner with salaried client group and HR specialist/strategic project role. You will be mentored through the program by your peers, assignment leaders and business partners as you learn and grow with our team.
Solutions our HRPDPs could be involved with include:
- Counseling the business on employee and/or labor relations challenges to ensure high performing teams and inclusive environment
- Deploying recruitment solutions to increase diversity of workforce composition
- Identification of talent visibility and awareness solutions to enable cross population of talent for the enterprise
- Comprehensive HR data analysis to identify insights to make better decisions and drive efficiencies for the business
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently attending a 4-year accredited university/college or have completed a minimum bachelor's degree in human resources or related major
- Graduation Date between May 2023 and June 2024
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Internship experience with manufacturing and/or technology-based company
Top Candidates will also have:
- HR Related Certifications
- Master’s degree
- Ability to effectively communicate and maintain confidentially is critical

- Flexible duration 18/24/39 months (about 3 and a half years)
- 2-3 Rotations
- Rotations are focused on business needs while considering employee’s interest

Location flexibility or mobility is preferred:
- Relocation assistance is available for this position if rotation or graduation position requires
