Role: D365 Functional Consultant (Finance)

- You will be working with the solution architects on the programme to determine which elements of the D365 toolset should be used to meet the business requirements.
- Using the latest technology within the Dynamics 365 product stack, you will be working on the workstream with your application specialism being the focus.
- Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to understand critical business requirements. Use the knowledge gained to present a vision and solution in the form of process design, software configurations, customisations, and integrations that will meet those needs.
- Provide expert knowledge of the D365FO product to minimise gap development and leverage the standard D365 product as much as possible.
- Combine excellent system knowledge with solid implementation and real world business experience to suggest business process optimisation and/or additional system configuration.
- Identify potential gaps that require development and provide high quality, detailed design documents for customisations that are suitable to be passed to developers for progression.
- Utilise implementation and project delivery best practices for daily tasks to ensure a smooth project delivery. Systems such as DevOps will form part of the core toolset for this.
- Understand and document developments related to integrations with other applications and ensure that these are designed and specified accordingly.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to others in the project team throughout the implementation to ensure accurate delivery of the project according to schedule.
- Mentor and train others in the project team to distribute knowledge and understanding of the D365 system to assist with adoption and use of the new application.
- Work closely with the Technical and Functional team members to ensure a complete end to end solution.
- Define and drive the elements of the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 related to your functional area.
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 FO (essential).
- Experience of designing & delivering a D365FO supply chain solution (advantageous).
- Proven record architecting and delivering D365FO Finance (O2C, P2P & GL) with at least 1 full cycle of an implementation (essential)
- Strong understanding of SCM module is hugely advantageous.
- Knowledge of business processes related to finance (essential).
- Ability to work closely with project managers, business analysts, architects, other consultants, and business stakeholders.
- Strong engagement and communication skills which will allow you to clearly explain system functions and processes across all levels of the organisation.
- Full life cycle experience: Workshops, requirement gathering, functional design, business process analysis, implementation and construction, testing, training, cutover, go-live (essential)
- Proven ability to create innovative solutions to complex business requirements as well as optimising business processes.
