Daytime Healthcare are partnering with a leading provider of a group that works with the DWP (Department of work & pensions). They provide quality medical assessments using a network of specialist health practitioners.

This is a great opportunity for Healthcare Professionals with at least 1 year of clinical experience to start a new long-term career as a function Assessor!

As Functional assessors we work on behalf of the DWP assessing claimants who have applied for PIP (Personal Independent Payment) benefit. These are Functional Assessments undertaken not Medical Assessment, looking at how their conditions impact their functioning.

There are full and part time opportunities available (3 – 5 days per week), and these positions offer Working from home). The working pattern is Monday to Friday 08:30 - £17:00 and they offer excellent packages including market leading starting salaries! There is a comprehensive 10-week training program that is fully paid.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Use your clinical background and knowledge of conditions to assess a variety of conditions including mental health, physical, sensory and cognitive conditions, as part of a holistic assessment.
  • Complete 3-4 functional assessments per day on behalf of the Department of work and pension (DWP). You will be assessing a range of health conditions
  • Assessments are completed either face to face, via telephone or video assessments in an office environment or working from home or a mixture of the two.
  • You will analyse medical evidence and then present a comprehensive report, which will then be sent to the DWP to make the decision.

In order for your application to be reviewed, your CV must contain the following:

  • Work history as far back as possible including non-clinical roles
  • Months and years of employment and training
  • Explanation of any employment gaps and how kept up to date with clinical developments during this time (if applicable)
  • Tasks involved in each role as well as health conditions encountered and age ranges of patients
  • NMC or HCPC registration pin
  • Email address, home address and postcode.

You must have good basic IT skills to be considered, and experience of tying whilst on the phone would be an advantage! Daytime Healthcare conduct the initial telephone interview for these positions, and we would require.
