Job description
Role: Restaurant Section Waiter or Waitress.
Reports to: Restaurant Manager
Purpose
To ensure that Purple Dragon Chelsea’s vision of “becoming the World’s Best Club for Families” is reflected in the day-to-day operations of the Restaurant Cafe as well as the planning and delivery of Private Events.
To assist the Restaurant Manager in the smooth day to day running of a café set within a private members club, for children.
Timings
The club is open from 9.30am to 7pm seven days a week from Monday to Sunday.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
To maintain consistently high service standards in the Restaurant Cafe according to Purple Dragon Standards of Service.
To ensure that food and drinks orders are taken and executed accurately in order to minimize wastage.
To run a section within the café with approximately 10 tables at any one time.
To comply with the Club’s Food Hygiene guidelines and assist the Management to achieve a 5-star food rating.
To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is constantly maintained in public and storage areas.
To carry out any other reasonable instructions by senior management.
Skills
Minimum 1 year as Food Runner, Waiter or Barista, Bartender or Commis De Rang in a Hotel, Private Member’s Club or Restaurant.
Practical knowledge of 5-star service standards and mannerism.
Personality
To have a natural preference in busy environments and enjoy working with children.
Exceptional communication skills, outgoing, a people's person.
Job Specifications
This is a full-time role with a salary of £30,000.00 plus tronc based on 45 hours per week, based on five days a week.
The Club opens at 9.30am and closes at 7pm so there are no requirements for very early or late shifts and we also remain closed during Christmas & New Years.
