Job description
Summary of role
Director Club is a Members’ Club for business directors and creatives, with meeting rooms, breakout areas and a bar/restaurant. We cater mainly for members who pre-book spaces, but we also cater for our sister company Sandstorm Films and their film shoot craft and catering.
We are a creative hub tucked away in Badbury, only a minute off the M4 at Junction 15.
As a Director Club team member you will ensure that all members, visitors and film production staff are welcomed, provided with superb service and looked after in a way that upholds a reputation of a high end members club - average is simply not good enough.
We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and most importantly a smile on their face. Ideally you’ll have some barista experience, but that can be trained in. You may be expected to work alone at times so will need to be confident, self motivated and have a proactive attitude. Experience in the film industry or in a bar is not required.
You would be involved in a wide range of tasks which would often include:
- Providing a welcoming and friendly reception supported by a good understanding of activities across Director Club.
- Taking orders, making recommendations and serving food and drink to a variety of customers
- Setting up and closing down the members’ club.
- Helping to keeping all areas of the building clean and well presented
- Ensure rooms are tidy and set out appropriately for meetings/events and organise refreshments
- Working as part of a small team to provide exceptional customer service
- Communicate with the kitchen, your manager and members to ensure everyone is happy, on-schedule and clear on what is happening. Especially important at busy times.
