WAITER/WAITRESS
Salary: £21,000.00 per annum plus Gratuities and Excellent Benefits
Location: The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant – Crieff
A unique Michelin starred gastronomic experience set in the heart of The Glenturret Distillery, Scotland’s oldest working whisky distillery.
Enjoy working in our 20-cover restaurant, from Wednesday to Saturday, offering a seasonal and contemporary multi-course tasting menu designed by Head Chef, Mark Donald, and his talented international team.
Job Purpose
As a commis waiter/waitress you are a food professional who assists more experienced waiters/waitresses – gaining experience and developing your role working toward the status of Waiter/Waitress and Senior Chef de Rang within a Michelin starred restaurant. You are working under the guidance of those team members to understand the essence and importance of hospitality.

A summary
No previous experience necessary as full training is provided, you will work towards running a section, be in control of the intimate ambience whilst at the same time maintaining the highest of standards. You will support the senior team completing the set-up of the restaurant and have awareness of the menu and preparation of dishes.
Responsibilities
The role entails setting up the tables prior to service. Preparing the restaurant and organising required plate ware. Assisting with all duties as requested.
You will gain valuable knowledge whilst performing your duties. Working in this position allows a Commis Waiter/Waitress to understand the importance of customer services and manage the workflow of a restaurant effectively.
Skills required
Being detailed orientated is key. Commis waiting positions require good listening skills for when guests are placing their orders to enable them to recall the items when being placed in front of the guest. A pleasant disposition with previous experience of working within a customer facing setting.
