MR LAU'S is located in the heart of Warrington Town Centre, part of the Cultural Quarter, we pride ourselves in great quality Chinese cuisine, premium drinks, and fantastic serviced. We celebrate our 10 year success by consistently and continually offering the best guest experience to all new and regular guests.

We are proud to present a part time opportunity in our Front of House team, we are looking to welcome the ideal waiter/waitress to join our wonderful modern Chinese restaurant.

The working environment is fast paced and dynamic during busy periods, therefore past experience is preferable.

Your job will include:

  • Meeting & Greeting guests, it all starts with a welcoming Hello!
  • Taking orders and offering your knowledge of the menu to ensure guests choose a suitable dish to ensure dining satisfaction
  • To sell drinks at all opportunities to ensure the guest is not left without a drink
  • To optimise spend per head by upselling drinks, desserts and extras
  • To serve each table in a timely manner to ensure that guests are felt looked after
  • To clean and set tables with appropriate cutlery and crockery in preparation for next due
  • To relay tables efficiently to enable front desk to seat new incoming guests
  • You will be required to wear a uniform with pride. Self presentation is key.
  • You will also be responsible in setting up the dining areas ready for service, and closing down dining areas and back of house areas after service

Working hours and days will vary each week though you will be notified of your working schedule in advanced via a scheduling app. The app enables you to clock in and out of your shifts for accurate calculation of time worked. You will be paid on a weekly basis, each Friday (you are required to work two weeks in hand). Payslips are received by email. You will receive 28 days paid holiday.

You will receive staff 50% discount on food, staff discount can be used to treat your family members. You receive tips on a weekly basis, which are calculated based on your total working hours.
