London City Airport provides a unique stress-free experience for business and leisure travellers providing safe, careful, and speedy journeys for over 5 million customers in 2019 serving over 40 UK and European destinations and handling over 250 flights per day.
We are currently looking for highly motivated, self-driven individuals to join our Aircraft Operations team working a varying shift pattern. We are especially interested in candidates that:
Position:

- Have a Full UK/EC/EEA or other foreign equivalent driving licence held for a period of at least 6 months
Responsibilities:

Delivering compliant, safe, and punctual aircraft turnaround activities including but not limited to:
- Aircraft Marshalling & safeguarding of aircraft.
- Application of ground servicing equipment
- Loading and unloading of passenger baggage / cargo
- Delivering baggage to the reconciliation area
- Facilitating and safeguarding aircraft engine ‘Start-ups’
- Assisting with other turnaround activities
- Seasonal operational activities such as Aircraft De-icing / Anti-icing
- Other ad-hoc activities designated by your line manager.
Personal Qualities and Attributes:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to work under own initiative and integrate and work as part of a wider team.
- Self-motivated with the proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver team goals.
- Physically fit with no back no back problems & able to work in confined spaces.
- Good sight, hearing and normal colour vision.
- Good verbal and written comprehension of the English language and Maths
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Flexible approach to working hours and able to work weekends and public holidays.
- Hold Full UK/EC/EEA or other foreign equivalent driving licence for a period of at least 6 months
Hours of work:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern. Working hours are between:
- 05:00-22:30 Monday to Friday
- 05:00-13:30 Saturday
- 11:00-22:30 Sunday
These hours include public holidays.
