Job description
We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our Ultrasound and Cardiology services based within the NHS, you will be trained to assist the sonographers in clinic and run independent cardiology clinic.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be a key point of contact for our patients, undertaking essential daily tasks to ensure that patients are adequately looked after, and their records dealt with in line with Information governance policy.
Previous Hospital Healthcare experience desirable, but not essential, as we offer full training for the right candidate, all we ask is that you are reliable, professional, able to work independently, can commit to the working at different locations/hours and have excellent computer skills.
Healthcare assistants are an integral part of the team, they support our Sonographers and Patients without the input of our Healthcare Assistants, our clinics wouldn't be able to function properly, so if you would like to be a part of a team that really makes a difference, we would love to hear from you
Working hours and Locations
We have 12 plus sites located across the following locations: Dagenham, Barking, Romford, Ilford, Upminster, Hornchurch, South Woodford and Rainham.
If you are successful in securing a role as one of our Healthcare Assistants we will look to place you in a clinic as close to your home location as possible within the above areas, we will provide your schedule in advance so you are able to make the necessary arrangements, but from time to time you maybe be required to work within any of the sites that based around East London and Essex as the business needs require.
This is a Full-Time role working we have either 30 hour or 40 hour contracts per week, over 4 / 5 days, this will include some weekends.
You will never be required to more than your allocated hours per week unless you request to work overtime.
Shifts can start from 8am and finish no later than 8pm.
We can also offer part time contracts of 20 hours per week, and bank contracts if you are available between the time's specified.
As a Healthcare Assistant your role will involve but will not be limited to:
Assisting sonographers undertaking diagnostic examinations, chaperoning the ultrasound scans and assist consultants with reports, patient monitoring
Explaining to patients what takes will take place during their appointment.
To provide care for the patient whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment, ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are always maintained and are specific to the patients' needs
To support a high-quality clerical and clinical support service, entering patient data into computer systems, always ensuring attention to detail
Being professional, timely and reliable
Ensuring confidentiality is always adhered to
Proficient use of Computer Software Systems, Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel)
