We are looking for an experienced Web Engineer/Developer to join our development team to support and deliver on our operations and research in a growing range of machine learning applications.
As a web engineer you will be part of a team responsible for the development and overall delivery web-based user interfaces drawing upon data and models developed as part of our Data Science offering. In particular, you will be designing, building, and maintaining user interfaces, working with our data engineers and modellers. You should have a keen eye for details and an analytical mind.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and to work on a wide variety of technologies in a rapidly growing part of the business. You will be a self-starter, have a natural curiosity and a desire to learn.
You will have a broad skillset including
- Proven track record of experience in JavaScript frameworks and modern web technologies such as Angular (12 and above), TypeScript, HTML, CSS & SASS/SCSS and build tools like Grunt, Gulp and Webpack (or similar)
- Building responsive UIs projects demonstrating good sense of UI/UX and attention to detail
- Experience of building IOS & Android Apps
- Experience of debugging memory leaks and browser performance bottlenecks, optimizing DOM, skills with the Timeline browser tool
- Knowledge of data analysis, visualization techniques, and frameworks
- Experience with best practices such as source control, continuous integration, unit testing, design patterns, and agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with RESTful API standards, Relational Databases and SQL/NoSQL data modelling
- Experience of marketing and advertisement is not required, but you are expected to learn and understand the business logic behind the numbers, aiding developers and analysts to produce insights for clients
