A well-established Fintech with a huge international market are looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join their engineering team of 6. The business has two cutting edge products in the life insurance and lifetime mortgages space that handle an excess of $30 billion US dollars of face amount and have a growing portfolio of clients across Europe and the US.
The business has embraced remote working since 2012 so as such there’s no office, you’ll need to be comfortable working from home long term. They have a daily tech stand up and work flexibly, enabling you to pick your work freely from the backlog and decide your own working pattern.
What experience you’ll need
- Demonstrable experience in C#/.net
- A degree in one of the following Computing/Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or related area.
- Skilled in SQL querying (MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of or interest in learning quantitative finance, data science and related areas.
- Experience with AWS.
- Ability to write mathematical code.
- Data modelling experience with C, C , Python or R is desirable but not essential.
What you’ll be doing
This is a full-stack development role that will include working on their web based financial software although your focus will be developing pricing models for financial securities. You’ll write mathematical code for the purpose of calculating cashflows for life insurance policies and mortgages, run simulations to generate risk and return information, run cashflow waterfall analysis to calculate price and risk for structured securities as well as calculating survival probability curves using actuarial mortality tables.
