Overview:
Day to day you will be responsible for motivating and engaging staff to ensure delivery of customer airlines targets while complying with all company, regulatory and customer procedures, policies and brand values. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, profitable, high quality performance in accordance with customer expectations, corporate objectives, strategy and plans. You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff across a diverse workforce.
In this role you will be responsible for the operational excellence of the Swissport Team’s across the station, and will be benchmarked against the Swissport Leadership Competencies of Leading and Facilitating Change, Applying Commercial Accumen, Coaching and Developing Others, Making Decisions, Managing Performance for Success and Executing and Getting Results.
As the fuelling manager you will provide leadership and technical expertise to Swissport Into-plane fuelling activities at London Heathrow. In this role you will directly manage the London Heathrow fuelling operation and oversee the development of into-plane fuelling across the operation.

There may be a requirement to travel and support at our other UK based fuelling operations.
Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:
- Ensure that correct QHSSE is applied across the operation and assets within the station
- Management and control of site Supervisors to ensure they safely, effectively and efficiently perform on their tasks
- Maintain and develop a good working relationship with the local Airport and Aviation Authorities, Aviation Fuelling Services providers or local Swissport aviation agency partners or dealers
- Ensure the maintenance of a good working relationship with Swissport Ground Handling and Business Development teams to promote a 'one team' mind-set
- Ensure that service providers, agents or dealers operating Swissport assets apply Swissport business principles towards Customer Service, operations integrity, safety and Code of Conduct
- Ensure all required operational reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Plan and manage the establishment and maintenance of equipment at Swissport fuelling operations
- Support Swissport in forecasting airport operations and customer fuel demand
- Ensure Business Continuity Planning is in place
- Working with our corporate fuelling division with a view to growing our business and commercial agreements

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Work experience gained in leading an aviation refuelling operation is essential
- Excellent knowledge of Ramp and Fuel Operations
- Knowledge of current JIG regulations
- Good business and financial acumen
- Ability to work under pressure, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
- Experience of managing an aviation refuelling operations that consists of joint venture operations is desirable
- Experience of developing and implementing a QHSE culture and processes within an operations environment is essential
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English is essential
- Excellent English, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Strong project management skills are essential
- Team focused management style that fits into a challenging, entrepreneurial environment
- Good financial understanding of accounts is essential
- Strong track record of delivering commercial agreements and producing business cases
- Legal knowledge (understanding contracts, competition law, employment law) is essential
- Thorough knowledge and work experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
