FTTP Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled FTTP Surveyor who will be responsible for conducting detailed site surveys to determine the feasibility of deploying Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) services to potential customers. The successful candidate will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that all surveys are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities Include

  • Conduct site surveys to determine the feasibility of deploying FTTP services to potential customers
  • Liaise with customers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine survey requirements
  • Analyze survey results and prepare detailed reports for the engineering team
  • Accurately record survey data and maintain survey records
  • Identify any potential risks or obstacles that could impact the successful deployment of FTTP services
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations during surveys
  • Assist in the development of network designs based on survey results
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends
  • Be proficient to highlight and escalate major design variances
  • Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience as an FTTP Planner/Coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure and deployment practices
  • Solid understanding of build disciplines
  • Proficient in the use of survey equipment and software
  • GIS experience (QGIS)
  • Conversant in the surveying of Openreach, Virgin Media and other alternative networks.
  • CSCS Card.
  • NRSWA Certified.
  • Network operator qualifications e.g. NOPS.
  • S5 PIA Pole Survey.
  • S6 PIA Duct Survey.
  • SA002 Safety Underground.
  • SA001a/SA001 Safety Overhead.
  • S11 FTTP Accreditation for Surveyors.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
