Job description
Due to our sustained and continued growth through 2023, Inict (part of the OCU Group of companies) are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FTTP Customer Installation Engineer. The role will be based at our Leeds Depot and will be covering the East Yorkshire area. The purpose of the role is to provide an outstanding service to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a 2-man team your role will be to Install and configure FTTP equipment including fibre optic cables, routers, and modems in residential properties. This will include OH and UG methods so you will need to be competent working at height and carrying out civil work within the customers boundary.
- Perform network testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
- Manage workload to ensure SLAs are adhered too.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations and configurations.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Fibre splicing to ensure the best possible connection.
- Demonstrate working service to the end user upon completion of successful installation.
Must have experience and certifications:
- Minimum experience of 2 years in FTTP Installation Engineering.
- Knowledge of FTTP installation techniques, equipment, and tools.
- Great customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Happy working at height.
- Skilled in excavation and re-instatement.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- NRSWA.
- NOPS/CSCS/ECS Card.
- BT Accreditations.
- Further training can be provided for the right candidate.
- A DBS check will be required and conducted by OCU Group.
