The role

As a Frontend Developer at Pure Electric, you will optimise features, functionality and purpose for optimal customer experience through both understanding and testing functionality to adapt, understand and optimise outcomes. You will also collaborate with backend, design, content and product to ensure the timely delivery of features that are optimised for searchability and the customer outcome.

The successful Frontend Developer will lead front-end development for our accelerating global brand to ensure customer experience is at the forefront of our focus.

What you'll do

  • Ensure the feasibility and sensibility of designs and their practicality into functional front-end development.
  • Work with our digital and technical teams to ensure the timely delivery of new products and content aligned with our testing roadmap.
  • Develop our frontend capability, practices, versioning control and using mobile first principles, will lead our development team to success and beyond!
  • Drive the delivery of the full front-end through collaboration with both the technical and digital teams and collaborate seamlessly with back-end development.
  • Look at each area with a commercial acumen to establish if we are utilising our resources and what we can do to improve our rider’s experience.

What you'll bring

  • Excellent knowledge of CSS, jQuery, HTML, code versioning solutions, Shopify and continuous delivery – as well as the ability to stay abreast of new developments and technologies.
  • Sufficient experience of Agile development and the ability to work with cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams preferably within a start-up environment.
  • Knowledge of cross device and browser differences with a primary focus on mobile first or mobile scaled-up practices.
  • Experience working with SEO principles and optimisation of front-end apps and content to deliver winning search experiences.
