Peppermint Bar & Kitchen | Cardiff
Peppermint is a stylish and fun cocktail bar situated on St Mary's Street in Cardiff, serving up creative cocktails, delicious food, warm hospitality, drinks packages, VIP bookings, a stunning gin garden and two DJs over two floors to give the best guest experience!
Peppermint have some exciting junior front of house roles starting at £10 per hour once fully trained! We have full time and part time positions available and if you love what you do (we’re sure you will!) there is even a chance to progress!
Becoming a Senior Waiting Staff at £10.50 you will advance your skills further. Stepping up to the Head Waiting Staff role, taking on additional responsibilities you will receive £11 per hour and be the first point of contact for the FOH team!
The hospitality industry encompasses main 3 areas, Front of House, Bar and Kitchen. This is how we split our business, if you are looking at a career within hospitality we offer in-house coaching and development to welcome you to the management team.

Peppermint are looking to expand their superstar team with an outgoing front of house team who are hard-working, fun-loving, enthusiastic and sociable who thrive when working as part of a team in a busy environment.
We’re looking for individuals who bring fun energy to the team and aren’t afraid of a little hard work. Our team will not only be friendly, outgoing and confident, they will be well presented and well spoken. Individuals must provide an excellent guest drinking experience and be able to provide classic and innovative drinks exceeding guests’ needs and expectations. Most importantly you must be willing to have a great time with our guests and learn and grow within the company.
Your Responsibilities
- Advise guests on the best drink and food choices
- Deliver exceptional service at all times
- Defuse complaints and involve management when necessary
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene;
- Maintain a good working relationship with both colleagues and customers;
- Attend training sessions and meetings as and when required;
- Carry out any other reasonable requests made by the Manager
- Ensure the area you are responsible for is clean and organised as per company expectation
- Be confident at upselling
- Presenting tables ready for bookings
- Presenting pre-paid packages with a smile
- Know the packages by memory
- Ensuring that all smashed glass, spillages and spoilages are recorded properly and are cleared to our high standard.
- Be fully conversant with the Licensing Act 2003;
- Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premise by reporting any possible hazards and conditions to the Manager;
- Have a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken
