Salt Shed are on the lookout for waiting staff to join our front of house team.
Still in our infancy as a restaurant, this is a great opportunity to become part of one of Brighton’s most exciting restaurants. With a genuine opportunity to grow with and within the company. Job Description:
Your primary role on paper will be to take orders, serve food and drinks, clear tables and maintain the restaurant in a presentable manner. However, most importantly, your role is to provide a hospitable environment for customers – leaving them eager to return for more of the Salt Shed experience. Therefore, being positive and energetic regardless of the time of day or how busy it gets is of upmost importance.
Other duties include, following opening and closing procedures correctly; having a comprehensive understanding of the food and drinks menu; cleaning table ware.
Working evenings and weekends will be required. Although we like to be fair and rotate unsociable hours among the team and accommodate for any personal requirements.
Location – Brighton City Centre
Pay – £10 to £11.50 p/hour plus tronc/service charge and holiday pay.
Hours – Part time and full time; 20-50 hours a week across 5 days including weekends.
Duties
- Opening and closing procedures
- Taking orders
- Serving food and drinks
- Keeping drinks fridges and bar area stocked up and organised
- Working under pressure and being able to manage busy periods.
- Serving consistent product and being accountable for not doing so.
- Keeping all areas of the restaurant presentable
- Being able to multitask
- Communicating effectively with managers on stock levels and ordering requirements etc.
Requirements
- 6 months waiting experience
- Fluent English.
- Are eligible to work full-time or part-time in the UK
