Situated in 42 acres of landscaped grounds adjacent to the River Thames in Fulham, The Hurlingham Club is recognised as one of the world’s finest private member clubs. Since its opening in 1869, The Hurlingham Club’s croquet and tennis lawns, botanical gardens and stately Georgian Clubhouse have made it a sought-after destination for exclusive sporting and social activities.
The Department
The Front of House team play an integral role in the function of the Club. They are responsible for being the first port of call for all visitors and are also in charge of making sure that queries and the selling of member events are handled efficiently and with a smile. The successful candidate will join a friendly Front of House team who enjoy the camaraderie that comes with working with members, as well as many other departments.
The Role
As a Front of House Receptionist you will work on average of 35 hours per week, over four days on a roster basis; this may include early, late and weekend shifts.
Typical duties will include:
· Greeting members and their guests.
· Cashier procedures.
· Telephone duties and handling email queries.
· Maintaining and administering the lost property system.
· Ensuring that Main Reception is tidy and that the information displayed is up-to-date.

Experience in a similar role preferential but not essential. Candidates will have proven communication and IT skills, and will have experience from a similar style venue. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, will be proactive confident and able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
