Job description
St Georges University Hospitals NHS foundation Trust operate two main reception desks that meet and greet visitors and staff to site as well as handle calls from persons with enquiries.
The front of house reception team hours of operation are 08.00-19.00hrs Monday-Friday and 08.00-16.00 on weekends (Please note that we only have one reception desk operational on weekends)
- To respond proactively to visitors requests for information in a calm and helpful manner
- To use the iClip patient information system to give pertinent information to visitors to reception, including directing patients to appointments and departments and visitors to wards and departments, only when accurate information is provided.
- To direct visitors, contractors and packages to the relevant departments.
- To provide polite, engaging and effective communication with all enquiries at reception.
- To provide administrative support as and when required to ensure an efficient service is provided by the Facilities & Site Services Directorate.
- On a daily basis, to physically ensure that no unauthorised posters are displayed in the reception areas of the Hospital.
- To ensure reception areas are well maintained. Thus providing a clean, tidy and safe environment at all times and to publicise and encourage staff participation to the Trust’s Environmental Policy.
