Job Description
As Cleaning Manager, you will provide a high-quality domestic service, to patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining a clean and safe environment, in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the specification.
These duties may be carried out, both in patient, and non-patient environments - providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the necessary duties are carried out to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within the hospital and associated areas.
- If driving duties are required these must be in accordance with on-site restrictions, speed, and statutory regulations. Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and safe before, during and after use, and complete relevant documentation within the prescribed frequencies
- Complete accurate records for company systems including, sickness procedures, quality monitoring, training, and staff performance monitoring
- Complete all relevant catering documentation and maintain accurate records for company systems including, sickness procedures, quality monitoring, training, and staff performance monitoring
- Liaise with operative staff under your control by way of discussions and regular team meetings. i.e., Performance Reviews, Job Chats, Return to Work discussions and accident and other investigations
- Effectively supervise, train, motivate, discipline, and ensure the safety, and general welfare of staff under your control in accordance with the necessary policies, procedures including the Training Plan
- Organise and allocate staff under your control to carry out the cleaning and maintenance of all hygiene standards within a designated area. Ensure that the work schedule and quality standards are adhered to in line with the specification
- Order, control, monitor and issue relevant uniform, equipment, keys, materials, and other goods as required by the staff under your control to carry out their duties effectively
- Would prefer healthcare cleaning experience but not essential
- Previous experience as cleaning supervisor/manager - preferably of teams larger than 10
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Packages
