Purpose of role
Working with content creators, designers, and other developers, you will be responsible for writing, testing and maintaining client-side code and content management system templates for visitlondon.com and London & Partners’ other web applications.
Key Tasks
- Work independently to convert designs and specifications into functioning web solutions that meet all requirements, including performance, usability, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and advise on the technical requirements and the feasibility of the implementation of the requested solutions and designs.
- Work as a member of the Scrum team to estimate work requests and break them down into actionable tasks.
- Take a proactive approach to improve web applications by identifying trends, technologies, and techniques that can create opportunities to develop the London & Partners products, recommending appropriate solutions.
- Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the line manager as and when required.
You’ll have/bring
- Excellent skills in HTML and CSS, including knowledge of the latest CSS techniques such as Grid and Container Queries.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, including jQuery and “vanilla” scripting.
- Experience producing responsive “mobile first” websites.
- Experience with Content Management Systems, ideally WordPress and/or Sitecore.
- Familiarity with setting up A/B tests on websites
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies or interest in using them.
- Committed to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practices.
- Approachable and willing to interact beyond the immediate team, helping solve problems quickly and creatively as they arise.
- Successfully uses innovative and creative problem-solving to implement plans and objectives.
- Successfully delivers project tasks on time and to a high standard, using all available resources.
- Takes responsibility and ownership of project tasks, continuously aiming to improve own performance.
- Has a passion for London.

The salary for this role has been approved as advertised in line with our pay structure. We will not negotiate or vary this figure upon offer or appointment.
