Location: London based with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week and 2 days in the London office.
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 to £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

LBG Labs:
Lloyds Banking Group are transforming the way we do Engineering. We’ve created “Platforms” and we're building multi-functional, co-located teams giving them freedom to bring technology to the forefront of our business. This will help us create new, and improve existing, products and services to help us really make a difference to our customers.
About The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Banking Lab for a Back End Software Engineer within the Everyday Banking Platform.
Everyday Banking is a key platform for Lloyds Banking Group with a very broad reach across the Bank’s customer base and a diverse stakeholder group. The platform is responsible for the end-to-end journeys for personal current accounts and savings products to consumers and providing a market leading customer experience through the servicing of Debit and Credit cards through multiple channels.
The platform also includes the Core Banking System and Vault Banking Products labs who support the run and change needed to operate all core banking products for the LBG brands, product APIs, transaction and statement services that are needed for channel interactions.
About You:
  • A great teammate who can build relationship and work productively with others across a variety of domains, teams and locations
  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals
  • Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations
  • Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, specifically with a range of stakeholders.
  • You're passionate about technology and its application to real-world problems, such as software automation and delivery
  • and you'll bring the right mind-set to the role.
What You’ll Do:
  • Build efficient and reusable front-end systems and abstractions
  • Find and address performance issues.
  • Identify general improvements and implement front-end standard methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the product/design team to iterate the design function and implement the products
  • Collaborate with Backend and DevOps Engineers to build features and experiments
What We Need From You:
  • Extensive experience of JavaScript
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as Reactjs, Redux, Webpack
  • Commanding grasp of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
  • Experience on Front-End test automation
  • Familiarity with server-side REST APIs and JSON
  • CI/CD/DevOps tooling experience e.g., GIT, Cypress, JUnit etc.
