We are looking for a Node Front End Developer. You will have a passion for design, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to allow you to work within a multi- disciplinary team, leading and engage with business and technical colleagues with confidence.
The Front End Developer is at the heart of responsive design for variety of user interfaces through the use of prototypes and toolkits to design and implement front end development

In this role, you are accountable for:
1. Translation of prototyping solutions, business and functional requirements into functional/ CSS/ JavaScript/ HTML
2. Responsible for the delivery of standards compliant mark up and code for web sites and applications, including HTML5, CSS3, Object
Oriented Javascript, Node.js
3. Responsible for the development of Search Engine Optimization, Progressive Enhancement/Graceful Degradation, Cross Browser and W3C
according to BSA and Industry best practices
4. Assist with the development of JavaScript using standard Frameworks jQuery, dojo, Yahoo UI etc.
5. Responsible for the identification, investigation and resolution of software faults occurring within applications relating to the post holder’s
areas of expertise
6. Ability to articulate and explain complex details around web development basics like browser security issues, iframe to iframe
communication, https requests, request and response
7. Report and take ownership of any issues via the relevant processes
8. Take ownership and plan estimation for pieces of work and create specific tasks to feed into the project plan
9. Collaborate with internal and external business owners, and other designers and developers, to optimise user interfaces within all business
and technical constraints
10. Responsible for the front end development tasks of projects providing knowledge and advice where required.
11. Demonstrate a flare for creative design which will enable you to contribute with innovation and originality
12. Assist with the creation and execution of component design patterns according to BSA and Industry best practices
13. Contribute to the development of pattern libraries to develop modular systems and to ensure consistent use of screen elements
14. Work in a delivery team to deliver first-rate UI deliverables in a timely manner and within budget
15. Work within a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, testers and architects and support a culture focused on ensuring customer
needs are met
16. Contribute to the delivery of interface designs that meet web standards, ensuring that key elements for government such as accessibility are
built into designs from the outset
17. Plan and manage delivery of enhancements to internal and externally facing products
18. Contribute to the continuous improvement of standards and practices for both application design and delivery
19. Be able to effectively communicate technical aspects of front end development to non-technical colleagues within the team and to the wider
business
20. Present, to a variety of stakeholders, in-depth information concisely within sprint reviews and lunch and learn sessions.
21. Participate within Communities of Practice.
