Team
Our team of ten Subject Matter Experts are responsible for ensuring the safety and alertness of crew members in their performance of duties. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for fatigue risk management and our commitment to high standards and excellence.
What you'll be doing
In this role, the FRMS Safety Officer will support the FRMS Safety function by handling fatigue reports from crew, participating in research activities such as APEX (Alertness and Performance Examination studies), analysing roster metrics and predictive/bio-mathematical model output, contributing to FRM training, evaluating scientific research, delivering Fatigue Risk Management training when necessary, and supporting crew communication and liaison initiatives including base visits and safety meetings.
What you'll bring to the team
We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of fatigue science, the FRMS manual, FTL, FRF policy, FACT and their interplay with operational safety, prescriptive regulation, and the airline industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must, including the ability to simplify complex technical information and build effective relationships. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word, and have experience with AIMS or similar resource or manpower planning tools. The candidate should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, prioritize their workload, and be adaptable and flexible within a team environment. A commitment to safety combined with a good understanding of commercial business expectations is also essential.
