Summary
Our Fresh Produce team is central to the success of Lidl as freshness & quality is how we have strategically expanded our business!
The department is split into three teams, Buying, Ordering and Administration and the Senior Officer will fill an important gap within the department acting as a key support function between each of the teams. The scope of the role is wide and there is rich opportunity for the candidate to shape it further. The role gives great exposure to the rest of the business thus raising the profile of the department as well as for the individual. This could serve as a stepping stone in to greater career opportunities either within or outside Fresh Produce.
We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.
What you'll do
- Analysing data and using this to forecast fruit and veg volumes
- Planning (‘Pick of the Week’) – within the Team and across the wider business
- Managing stock levels of fruit and veg within specific categories
- Updating competitors’ promotional tracker.
- Liaise with our international counterparts on POTW reporting.
- Being a key point of contact for the department both internally and externally.
- Accurately reporting KPIs on a weekly basis to the Buying team.
- Creating and sending accurate ordering forecasts to suppliers.
- Supporting the Buying and Admin team with ad hoc requests and projects.

- Ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail
