Beta Analytic is the world leader in 14C dating and testing. We are an international team with different backgrounds and are looking for thinking individuals interested in scientific fields that want to collaborate with us in our business development efforts in the French market. Our clients are universities, scientific researchers and institutions, and companies working with renewable carbon content products, so you can expect academic and scientific conversations over the phone and via email, as well as periodic attendance to scientific and business conferences.
Schedule is flexible but candidates should work during business hours and be based in Europe. Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English and French is required. Excellent command / high proficiency in German or Spanish is a plus.

Regulatory Specialization
- Develops technical understanding of the services we provide to be able to advise on multiple technical committees and standardization bodies
- Monitors global regulatory developments in the environmental field pertinent to Beta’s services
- Crafts policy position documents (e.g. Public Comments)
- Prepares Talking Points for Internal and External communications
- Partner with industry leaders, trade associations, civil society organizations, think tanks, and other external constituents to build support for our policy positions
- Work closely with our communications/marketing team to create and execute compelling communication strategies around our policy priorities (e.g. Content Development for Newsletters/Email Campaigns, Website Content, Article Publications)
- Prepares and delivers regulatory internal trainings to different departments
Business Development / Prospecting
- Contribute to the growth of your local region in terms of samples and new clients
- Contribute to strategy & adapt global sales strategy to your local region
- Obtain and follow up on referrals from cold calls and conversations with clients
- Prospecting activities
- Represent Beta and Isobar Science (our new subsidiary) at conferences
- Monitor news, tenders and national projects and follow up accordingly
Account Management
- Build relationships with key contacts to develop business at major accounts in your region
- Use data analysis to track sample submittal trends - follow up with clients to resolve any issues and fill up the pipeline
- Gather market intel (industry trends, competitors, regulations) and report to management/follow up with prospects accordingly
Customer Support and Consultation
- Take care of incoming inquiries/emails
- Follow up on results
- Escalate recommendations for improvement in processes and user interface based on customer experience
- Anticipate and fix potential issues
Other
- Effective management of productivity, goals, workload and schedule
- Stay up-to-date with research fields, Beta resources and technical developments in the lab and industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, a plus if degree is in the field of Chemistry, Biotechnology or Environmental Science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Follows processes and accepts direction
- Open to being trained and coached

- Proactive and resourceful
- Able to work comfortably and effectively from home office and during business trips
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
