Next Steps Tutors
Full Time Taunton, England 20 - 28 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

Are you an educator who is passionate about learning, creates fun and engaging lessons and has high expectations for all students?

You could be who we are looking for.

We're looking for qualified teachers (QTS) to work with our students face to face as part of Alternative Provision offers to Somerset schools. Hours are flexible and on a contract by contract basis - work as much or as little as you like - ideal if you're part-time and want a few more hours or have exited the classroom and are looking for a teaching role that gives you a better work/life balance.

Our students come to us with a range of needs. Lots of our students have SEMH, SEND or neuro-diverse needs that are not being met in a mainstream setting. Our tutors work face to face in homes, schools and 'neutral environments' to support an individual student's education needs, helping children to develop confidence, resilience and purpose.

Next Steps Tutors is a small but growing agency, based in the South West, working locally in person and online throughout the UK. We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with our students and parents; being welcomed as part of their family. As a company, we strive to:

  • Give children a voice
  • Be inclusive
  • Deliver purposeful, appropriately paced learning
  • Be great communicators
  • Support disadvantaged students

Our team of educators are:

  • Experienced in SEND
  • Open
  • Relaxed
  • Reflective
  • Friendly
  • Able to work on their own initiative

Freelance positions, £28 per hour. You will need a DBS and safeguarding training for this role (we can facilitate both for you). Next Steps Tutors are committed to safeguarding children and you will be asked to complete KCSIE recruitment processes.

If you’d like to be part of our team, please visit our website https://nextstepstutors.com to sign up or call us on 0330 460 4650.
