JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Freelance Photographer (Maternity cover)
Hours: Part time (typically 1 day a week)
Reporting to: Creative Manager
Job Summary: Providing digital imagery for developing and designing the Ellie Ellie products from initial concept through to final product ready to market in order to maximise sales and grow the brand, in line with the Creative Team critical path.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Working in line with critical path of creative team to produce product photography in line with tight deadlines to optimism commercial opportunities.
- Understanding the Ellie Ellie target market as well as other market places (such as, but not limited to NOTHS,ETSY and Joules)
- Identifying competitors
- Identifying photography trends
- Creating photography mood inspirational board
- Booking / organising model shoots
- Making / sourcing props
- Booking / organising locational shoots
- Product styling
- Lighting
- Producing product cut out images
- Producing product studio images
- Producing product locational images
- Retouching images
- Photoshopping images
- Organizing the photography room
- Responsibility of all photography equipment
- Working with budgets
- Ad hoc video work
- Ad hoc team headshots
- Ad hoc marketing photography
General
- Assisting the Creative Team (such as but not limited to, admin, design, merchandising, buying and marketing)
- Assisting the Creative manager
- Ensuring department and company health a safety rules are adhered to.
- Accurate and appropriate use of company systems (including but not exclusive to order wise, Bright Hr and 15five).
- Adhering to company polices.
Person specification
As a photographer you will be passionate about product photography and have an impressive eye for detail and knowledge of the art of photography. You will have a creative outlook, along with strong analytical skills to generate commercially successful photography to create revenue and grow the business. You will be someone who thrives on autonomy and responsibility, as you will be replied on to products the photography. You will be self-motivated with an ’anything is possible’ attitude, along with bundles of problem-solving skills. You will have the ability to naturally multitask and prioritise your workloads with great organisational and communicational skills to work in a fast department and a tight critical path. Access to own studio and equipment would be a distinct advantage.
Skills and Experience
- A photography background / experience
- Adobe Suite skills – photoshop / illustrator
- Office skills – Word / Excel / Powerpoint
- Understanding of the Ellie Ellie customers
- Understanding of the Ellie Ellie product range
- Willingness to travel in the UK for locational shoots

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 - 10 per week
Salary: From £10.50 per hour
